  1. Toast the rice in the oil until pale gold and nutty-smelling.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, and vegetables with the Sazon; cook 2 minutes.
  3. Add water and salt; boil until level with the rice.
  4. Cover, lower, steam 18-20 minutes; rest 5.
  5. Fluff and serve — under, beside, or folded into the beans as casamiento tomorrow.
